John`s Seafood in Murfreesboro

We went to John's Seafood yesterday evening and ordered, puppy drum (cajun grilled, Stuffed flounder and a ribeye steak. All of the meals were excellent. Everything ordered was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely go back again and again. Very Highly recommended.

John makes great seafood, if he has fresh rockfish, it can't be beat. I like his scampi slot as well.A word to the wise, this is a bit of an upscale resturant (particularly for Murfreesboro, NC),So don't go in thinking you will leave having paid a minimal price.The food however, is worth the prices charged.

Disregard the negative reviews you see for this restaurant...the food was delicious, the staff were courteous and friendly, service was prompt and our food came out fast. Definitely recommend ewasting here!!

My crab cakes weren't right but everyone else was satisfied. I'm sure they would have done something about the crab cakes if we had dined in.

Service is exceptional! The young lady that waited on us was very accommodating, always smiling, courteous and made sure all our requests were taken care of. The combination of fish, shirmp and oyster plater was delicious and not overcooked like other places. Will definitely return!

We drove a hour to Murfreesboro just to do a road trip. Settled on trying John's seafood. The price is a bit high. I had John's seafood platter, broiled. Over cook, shrimp were very small, flounder was not very fresh, crab cake was ok., Scallops, had no sweet taste at all. My wife had shrimp and steak, shrimp were little popcorns and over cook, but the steak was good. Don't mind paying a little more for good food, but this food doesn't match the price. Next time we road trip to Murfreesboro we will try the Tavern 125, Hoping for better food for the hour drive.

Save yourself. Go elsewhere. I was served a glass of wine with a fly in it and the waitress just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. And I was charged for it. The salad bar was meager. The food was more cafeteria style. And I am happy to pay more for a good meal, but this wasn't it.

The shrimp, oyster, and fish plate was disgusting...only 4 shrimp and 3 oysters...the fish was Awful!!! First and last visit!

Makes a great steak!! I'd put their steak up against any big city steak. No reason to leave the town of Murfreesboro for a good steak.

Went to jhon"s seafood today August 22 ,2019 .I got a oyster dinnet I was disappointed in the quality of the oysters. They were not fresh oysters they were frozen. I eat oysters all the time. And I have been eating them for over 50 years and I kknow a fresh oyster when I tase one and I can look and tell too.iwant be getting any more no time soon .

Got seated and waited 30 minutes never got waited on eventually out never go again.

Did not enjoy

I recently went here and was very surprised. The prime rib was amazing. The salad bar was very fresh and had a good variety of toppings. The cajun fried alligator was something I had never tried before but very tasty. A very good meal.

Pricy, poor service BUT the food is good. Too dim of lighting...$4.25 for 1 trip to the salad bar, which doesn't have much and the bowls are the size of what you would serve a toddler. $4.25?! Probably will skip this place in the future.

I've been hearing an advertisement on the radio and wanted to check out this restaurant. Should have gone elsewhere. Long wait to get sat in a nearly empty restaurant then to have a big knotty chunk of long blond hair in my baked potato. I took the chunk of potato and wad of hair to the waitress who was shocked. To be told a message from the manager that they did not know how that got there no apology no comp overall very disappointing experience we will not be back iand will tell people to go elsewhere. Being formerly in restaurant management I was shocked but had enough class not to throw a fit. There is no way a customer should be ignored and not apologized face to face by management for something so disgusting in their food.

We had a family gathering here and the only thing nice about this place was our waiter. We were upstairs with no ac. I had to keep taking my 13 month old downstairs to cool off. The food took a long time to come out and it was not good. Very disappointed, especially since we came from Virginia. Only one star since the waitress was very nice even though she had no help. Never again!

Employees are very friendly and helpful. Food is southern home cooking. Very tasty. Over all the experience is very pleasant.

I met with the Murfreesboro Rotary Club at John's Seafood. The food was good and the friendships were great. It is easy to find on Main Street. Give it a try.

Not as good as it was 8 years ago. Tuna bites were outrageously priced for what looked like 5 crumbs on a saucer. Won't return.
